We’re looking for volunteers to participate in an exciting, full-scale Emergency Management Exercise hosted by the City of Brampton, a leader in emergency management and preparedness. Playing the part of injured and otherwise affected residents, you’ll be instrumental in testing first responders, emergency management personnel and City staff as they deal with a simulated tornado touchdown in Brampton. The exercise will be held on the morning of Tuesday, September 19, 2017. Get in touch with the City of Brampton Emergency Management Office today to be part of this important and exciting event! All volunteers must:  Be 18 years of age or older  Sign a waiver to participate  Be able to simulate injury, shock, emotion, confusion, etc. as assigned  Be willing to wear make up (provided on site) to simulate injury  Be prepared to be treated by emergency response personnel, simulating rescue, evacuation and treatment of injuries Volunteers must provide the following information:  Name/Age/Gender  Email Address  Languages spoken  Physical abilities or limitations  Willingness to play a critical patient?  Willingness to go through a decontamination process? All volunteers will be required to report to the Powerade Centre no later than 7:30 am. As part of the exercise, volunteers playing the role of victims will be transported by bus to secondary locations, one of which is Brampton Civic Hospital. Once the exercise simulation has concluded, all volunteers will be transported back to the Powerade Centre. On-site parking at the Powerade Centre will be available for all volunteers. Lunch will be provided after the exercise has concluded. Further instructions and details will be provided after registering.
